Growing parks and saving species
The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife is working with state environmental authorities to identify high conservation value land adjacent to burnt national parks. Your gift will help us take the first steps on the long path to heal our damaged natural environment.
It has been estimated that most of the range and populations of between 20 and 100 threatened species has been destroyed by Australia’s bushfire tragedy. The long-term survival prospects for some of these unique native birds and animals are dire.
Your gift can help to:
- Restore vital wildlife corridors for endangered native birds and animals
- Provide nest boxes and plant vegetation to provide critical food resources
- Increase the control of pest animals and weeds that magnify the impacts of fires on wildlife
- Secure high conservation value areas near burnt national parks
